Before you step out into the howling winds of the Canadian wilderness, you sign the trail register. Before you equip yourself with our expedition-grade gear, you agree to our Terms of the Trail. Read them carefully; in the wild, ignorance is rarely an excuse.

The Trailhead Agreement

Welcome to Boreal Peak Outfitters. Just as every expedition into the unforgiving backcountry of the Canadian Rockies begins with a signed register at the trailhead, your journey with our digital outpost begins with these Terms of the Trail (Terms of Use). We believe in the raw, unyielding power of nature—from the biting frost of a -30°C morning in the Yukon to the ancient, glacier-carved granite of the Canadian Shield. To equip you for these extremes, we operate with a code of uncompromising integrity and respect for the elements.

By accessing, browsing, or using our outpost (website), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must turn back now. We aren't building gear for the faint of heart, and our community relies on mutual respect and accountability.

Our Craft, Our Heritage (Website Content)

Every photograph of a pristine Canadian lake at dawn, every detailed description of our DWR-coated ripstop nylon, and every carefully crafted logo you see on this site is the exclusive property of Boreal Peak Outfitters. We have spent decades forging our brand in the crucible of the Boreal Forest and the treacherous passes of Banff. Our content is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may use this outpost for your personal, non-commercial scouting and gear acquisition. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or digital poaching of our content is strictly prohibited. Stealing our intellectual property is akin to stealing a man's compass in whiteout conditions—it is an offense we do not take lightly.

Gear Specifications and Provisioning (Pricing)

We craft our gear to withstand the most brutal environments on Earth. However, just as a sudden squall can alter the landscape of Algonquin Park in minutes, errors in product descriptions, pricing, or availability may occasionally occur.

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice.
In the event a piece of gear is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, we hold the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item.
Prices are subject to change based on the availability of raw, premium materials like aerospace-grade aluminum for our trekking poles or high-fill goose down for our sleeping bags.

Rules of the Backcountry (User Conduct)

When you step into the wild, you follow the principle of "Leave No Trace." We expect the exact same discipline when you navigate our digital outpost. You are joining a community of elite outdoorsmen, seasoned guides, and passionate adventurers. Your conduct must reflect the respect demanded by the Canadian wilderness.

You are strictly prohibited from utilizing our site to transmit any malicious code, disrupt our digital infrastructure, or harass fellow adventurers. Do not attempt to breach our security perimeters or scrape our data. Treat our outpost with the same reverence you would treat a historic ranger cabin deep in the wilderness—leave it exactly as you found it, ready for the next traveler.

Surviving the Elements (Limitation of Liability)

At Boreal Peak Outfitters, we provide the ultimate tools for survival. We engineer portable camping stoves that ignite in freezing gales and waterproof dry bags that survive capsized canoes in glacial rivers. However, we only provide the gear; you provide the judgment.

Engaging in high-altitude mountaineering, backcountry winter camping, or deep-woods trekking involves immense, inherent risks. By purchasing our gear, you explicitly acknowledge that nature is unpredictable and inherently dangerous. Boreal Peak Outfitters, its founders, and its guides shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products. If you choose to summit a peak in a snowstorm without proper avalanche training, no amount of our premium, seam-sealed outerwear will save you. You accept full responsibility for your own life, training, and decisions in the field.

Governing Law of the True North

These terms are rooted in the solid rock of Canadian law. They are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from your use of this site or our gear shall be settled in the rugged, steadfast courts of Alberta.

Shifting Landscapes (Changes to Terms)

The wilderness is never static. Rivers carve new canyons, and avalanches redraw mountain passes. Similarly, we reserve the right to update, modify, or completely overhaul these Terms of the Trail at our discretion. It is your responsibility as an adventurer to check your map regularly and stay informed of any changes to our policies.
